There is usually quite a bit going on at KCP Boers & Livestock ranging from showing, breeding, and selling our animals or other related products. As such, we will try to maintain our site regularly and keep it up to date with in a week to two weeks at the most. Recent updates such as changes in our herd, sales, or upcoming shows & show results will be posted below.
***January 1, 2008***
Unfortunatley, Korey and I are ending our marriage and will no longer sell, breed, or raise boer goats for show or market. Thank you to Dale and Phillis Little for helping us out and taking our animals to a good home!
***December 28***
Margret gave us two really nice kids out of our previous herdsire, JMB Red Mutt, on December 26. We have a solid red billy and a correct doe, Jack Daniels and KCP Whiskey Girl. Whiskey Girl is a registerable 50% show prospect and Jack is a potential wether/commercial buck. Big Mamma should have her kids anytime and wrap up our Fall 2007 kidding schedule.
***December 24***
Sweet Pea gave us a gorgeous paint buck kid out of JMB Red Mutt December 20th. This is her first kidding and she did not disapoint! Additionally, we have a couple new additions to our breeding herd. More pictures and information can be seen on our Does page.
Also, we are no longer offering CM Hammer for live coverage. More information regarding this can be seen on our bucks page.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
***November 30***
All of our does are forming great bags and should begin kidding soon. Sweet Pea will likely kid first, within a week or two, followed by Margret within the same time frame...maybe a little later. Big Mamma should kid by the end of December.
Also, Sweet Pea recently placed in the Online Meat Goat Show! Check out our Does page for more details!
***November 19***
Check out our For Sale page. We have added a couple items!
***October 24***
We have recent pictures of our does. All pictures were taken October 23, 2007. For more information, please visit our Does page!
***October 21***
!UPDATE!
JMB Red Mutt has been sold to Paula Sharrow of Slidell, Texas. We will be exchanging JMB Red Mutt for a March 2007 FB doe with lines going to Pipline in her extended pedigree as well as colored breeding on her sires side. More information regarding this doe will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
***October 11***
We have recently checked all of our does for current pregnancy and all are showing signs of kids. JMB Red Mutt will be the sire to all of the kids this year so we are expecting a little bit of color as well! We are expecting our does to kid sometime around January/February but could see Margret or Sweet Pea drop kids as early as December. Due to the amount of interest we have recieved regarding our does kidding schedule, we are now accepting reservations for kids born out of JMB Red Mutt. We only ask that anyone interested in these kids contact us to be placed on a waiting list. At this time we are planning to keep all does born but would consider any requests for a percentage show doe.
***October 5***
We are offering JMB Red Mutt for sale or trade. For more information please visit our Bucks or For Sale Page!
***September 8***
We have updated our Horse Page with pictures of Sandie.
Also, we are preparing for the Permian Basin Fair & Expo Open Boer Goat Show Wednesday August 12 at the Ector County Coliseum here in Odessa, Tx. We will be showing JMB Red Mutt.

At KCP Boers & Livestock we strive to breed and maintain strong and healthy boer goats. We make every effort to utilize the newest information available to increase our knowledge and enhance our efforts.
While we primarily focus on genetics, we have learned that there are other factors to consider when purchasing an animal. Structure, bone, muscle, and reproductive ability are among the foremost factors to look for in breeding stock. If any animal fails to display these traits effectively they will be culled. Additionally, we will view their pedigree and monitor the genetics that lead to the 'abnormality' or 'deficiency' that led to the removal of the animal from our herd. Regardless of the genetics of any animal, commercial productivity and real market value are the most important factors in our herd.
Additionally, the gradual increase of colored goats - reds, blacks, paints, and otherwise - has also lead to an increase of diluted genes represented in herds. While there exists a great deal of quality in the area of colored animals, we would like to caution potential buyers of the risks invovled when buying for that extra little bit of color. Before you purchase a 'pretty' goat, make sure that it can compete with a traditional goat in the area of size, substance, and correctness. There is nothing worse than buying a goat and then realizing that many breeders would not have it in their herd!
Sadly, the above advise may go unheard by many breeders. Alot of the people who breed for color and sacrifice quality do not even realize it! If you are in doubt of your animals or are curious as to the standard to judge your goats....please visit the following links!
There are MANY more wonderful breeders that we would use as a measuring tool when purchasing or culling animals. However, I have too many breeders in my favorites to list! If you would like more information regarding our philosophy or more breeders...feel free to contact us using the information listed below under Contact Us!
If you see anything you like or just have a few questions, don't hesitage to contact us. We can be reached via email at kcpboersandlivestock@yahoo.com or by phone at 432-614-2129.
